Role: Lead Data Engineer
Location: NEW YORK CITY, New York (Onsite)
Mode: Contract
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our data platform team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DBT Core, Snowflake, Python, AWS Airflow, containerization (Docker), and Terraform. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 15 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Must have Strong hands-on experience with:
- DBT Core (data modeling, transformations, testing)
- Snowflake (warehousing, query optimization, security)
- Python (data processing, automation, libraries like Pandas, PySpark preferred)
- Airflow (workflow orchestration and scheduling)
- AWS ecosystem (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
- Containerization tools like Docker
- Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong understanding of SQL and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Good to Have : BI tooling experience(Power BI or Tableau), understanding of Agile processes( Kanban or Jira) .
