Role Overview

We are seeking an Oracle Database Architect (RAC) to design, implement, and maintain high-availability database solutions in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle RAC and related high-availability technologies, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-scale database architecture initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement Oracle RAC 12c/19c/21c solutions.
Manage Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and Exadata environments.
Implement and support Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, and disaster recovery solutions.
Lead performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability strategies.
Provide technical leadership and mentor DBAs in RAC, ASM, and HA best practices.
Automate database provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using scripting and IaC tools.
Collaborate with storage, networking, and application teams to ensure end-to-end database availability and performance.
Plan and execute database migrations (XTTS, GoldenGate, AWS DMS, SCT, DataPump).
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years as an Oracle DBA, with 5+ years in Oracle RAC.
Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or equivalent advanced certification.
Deep expertise in:
Oracle RAC 12c/19c/21c
Grid Infrastructure & ASM
Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate
Oracle Exadata
Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery
Strong Linux/Unix administration & shell scripting (Bash, Python).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools.
Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance monitoring tools.
Solid knowledge of networking, storage technologies, and clustering.
Proven track record in large-scale DB migrations (XTTS, GoldenGate, AWS DMS, SCT, DataPump, backup/restore methods).

Preferred Skills

Cloud migration experience on AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud (OCI).
Hands-on with cloud-based RAC deployments (AWS preferred).
Knowledge of container technologies and microservices architectures.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Prometheus, Grafana for monitoring.
Familiarity with DevOps practices & CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance.
