Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in software development and a strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that leverage BigQuery for data analysis and reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, data warehousing, and a passion for building innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement data solutions using GCP BigQuery to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize existing data pipelines and queries for performance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity and security while adhering to best practices in data management.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on software development practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and data analytics.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in GCP BigQuery, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture and services within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other GCP services such as Dataflow, Dataproc, or Cloud Functions.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data solutions.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
