About the Role
Vibhathi Labs is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Azure Data Engineer to support our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with a focus on modern data platforms, advanced analytics, and reporting solutions. Expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI is mandatory, along with proven experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and analytical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust data engineering solutions to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Lead the migration, integration, and optimization of large-scale datasets across multiple systems.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.
Implement and optimize Microsoft Fabric platform capabilities for data storage, transformation, and orchestration.
Develop complex dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using Power BI to provide actionable insights.
Ensure data governance, quality, and security best practices are consistently applied.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.
Drive innovation by evaluating emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies within the data ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar roles.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (Synapse, Data Factory, Lake, etc.).
Proven experience with Power BI for creating scalable, performant dashboards and reporting solutions.
Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Scala.
Solid understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
Experience with data governance, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in sports, gaming, or entertainment industry data projects.
Expertise in advanced BI/analytics solutions using AI/ML integration.
Strong knowledge of data security, compliance, and privacy best practices
