Job Description:
The client is seeking a motivated and skilled SQL Server and Database Administrator to support all PDE applications and SQL Servers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a team of Database Administrators, Developers, and Infrastructure teams.
This role includes responsibilities in database support, SQL Server administration, and performance tuning, while also assisting with data migrations, integrity, and security.
Responsibilities include:
Manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019
Install and configure database software
Analyze, design, and review logical and physical data models
Support the application development lifecycle
Perform data analysis, correction, and migration
Review and migrate stored procedures; recommend performance enhancements
Develop and use SSIS packages and PowerShell scripts
Monitor and optimize database performance and space usage
Assist in upgrades from older SQL Server versions
Maintain database security and backup/restoration processes
Collaborate on server infrastructure and software recommendations
Utilize Azure DevOps for source control, documentation, and work tracking
Provide accurate status updates and documentation
Represent DBA staff in meetings as needed
Stay updated on new database technologies and recommend adoption where applicable
Adhere to and help enforce established database standards
