NEED SOMEONE FROM WHO HAS RECENT HEALTHCARE CLIENT EXPERIENCE

About the Role:

The Cloud Architect will serve as the architectural authority for cloud-native, distributed backend systems that power a Healthcare Digital portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and regulatory compliance across the platform. You will define, evolve, and govern the end-to-end cloud architecture, including application, data, integration, security, and operations, to support reliable solutions for sterile processing departments. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Security, DevOps, and external partners to ensure the platform’s evolution meets both business requirements and healthcare regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect scalable and highly available Azure-based solutions for Healthcare Digital platform and SPM using best-practice cloud architectural patterns aligned with modern healthcare and enterprise SaaS environments.
  2. Implement robust cloud security and compliance controls based on Azure security frameworks, including identity, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
  3. Collaborate with Product Security to integrate HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements into architectural designs.
  4. Define SPM’s cloud data architecture, including PHI/PII protections, operational data stores, audit logging, and data retention strategies aligned with healthcare data standards.
  5. Establish observability and reliability frameworks, including monitoring, alerting, and SLO/SLI models to ensure system stability and continuous optimization.
  6. Partner with MSP vendors to define run-state operations, SLAs, incident response workflows, and cloud hardening, and operational readiness standards.
  7. DevOps & Infrastructure Strategy: Lead the design and automation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure standardized, reliable, and repeatable environment provisioning and deployment.
  8. Lead architectural reviews and produce high-quality artifacts such as C4 diagrams, Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), and platform reference architectures.
  9. Mentor engineering teams, ensuring strong architectural alignment, engineering rigor, and adherence to cloud standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in software architecture or cloud engineering.
  • 5+ years designing or deploying Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Advanced expertise in .NET and C#, applying modern cloud-native application development practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity and access management, DevSecOps, containers (AKS), and automation (IaC)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience architecting high-performance web applications using React.js or modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience in designing and delivering scalable mobile application architectures using React Native.
  • Experience with SaaS platform development or cloud migration projects.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Familiarity with hospital workflows and healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7).
  • Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Databricks
