We are seeking a Senior AWS Software Solutions Architect for a highly consultative, client-facing role. This position involves leading discovery workshops, advising stakeholders, and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architecture solutions.

The ideal candidate will balance business value, risk, timelines, and cost, while guiding clients through complex cloud and hybrid transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for cloud and hybrid environments on AWS
  • Conduct architecture workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, security, data, operations)
  • Perform current-state assessments, identify constraints, and define target-state architectures
  • Act as a client-facing technical advisor, presenting solutions and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Create architecture deliverables:
    • Solution blueprints
    • Integration design documents
    • Migration roadmaps
  • Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, estimations, and SOW creation
  • Design event-driven architectures using Kafka (topics, schemas, consumer groups, etc.)
  • Architect integrations across REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs
  • Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives
  • Define data integration strategies across PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS
  • Implement DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, automated testing)
  • Ensure security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization
  • Establish observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing, SLAs/SLOs)
  • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and governance practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java & Spring Boot microservices
  • Strong experience in API integrations (REST, GraphQL, SOAP)
  • Expertise in Kafka and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with cloud and on-prem database integration
  • Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices (IAM, OAuth2, encryption, secrets management)
  • Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant systems
  • Proven client-facing consulting experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certification (Solutions Architect – Professional)
  • Experience in pre-sales, RFP/RFI, and SOW creation
  • Background in consulting firms or system integrators
  • Experience with hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect)
  • Knowledge of API governance (OpenAPI, versioning, developer portals)
  • Experience with Kafka ecosystem (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, stream processing)
  • Exposure to regulated industries (Telecom, Finance, Healthcare)
