SAP DMS (Document Management System) Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP DMS Consultant to design, configure, and optimize enterprise document management solutions within SAP. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP DMS implementation, integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, and experience with document lifecycle management, workflow automation, and system integration tools.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP DMS Configuration & Implementation

• Configure and maintain SAP DMS to meet business document management requirements
• Design document structures, classification systems, and metadata models
• Implement document versioning, storage, change control, and approval workflows
• Support SAP BTP Document Management Service implementation and integration

Integration & System Connectivity

• Integrate SAP DMS with SAP modules including MM, QM, PP, and EWM
• Develop and maintain interfaces for document exchange using SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI
• Integrate SAP DMS with external systems, third-party applications, and Microsoft Outlook
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues including CPI errors, IDOC failures, and batch job issues

Reporting & Optimization

• Develop dashboards for document tracking, reporting, and quick search capabilities
• Optimize document management processes for performance, compliance, and usability
• Ensure governance and security standards for document lifecycle management

Optional / Nice to Have

• Support CAD integration and Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP DMS configuration and implementation
• Experience with SAP BTP Document Management Services
• Knowledge of SAP integration tools (CPI, PI/PO, IDOCs)
• Experience integrating SAP DMS with SAP modules (MM, QM, PP, EWM)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in SAP environments

Experience with workflow design and document lifecycle management
