Be conversant in how a network and infrastructure are delivered: Understand circuit order (non-DIA) processing with such vendors as ATT| Comcast| and others. Understand what a DMARC is and what a last mile provider (LMP) is and how this infrastructure works. Understand delivery and setup of a new circuit and how it is connected and turned up.Understand what a router is and where it is placed in the infrastructure.oUnderstand basic network equipment and its uses (i.e.| core and UA switches| firewalls| wireless controllers| WAPs| servers) and how it all fits in the infrastructure.oUnderstand network diagrams and the flow of connections.Understand basic Datacenter (DC) concepts:oHow DC operations work (general)oFiber/copper connectionsoEquipment racks (e.g.| whether there is enough space in a rack| whether new racks will be needed)oPower requirements (e.g.| adding new equipment| whether there is enough power)oHVAC (e.g.| knowing the questions to ask to support new equipment)Be a United States Citizen and must be able to pass a background check.Expertise in Microsoft ProjectHave an associate degree or bachelors degree in computer science| information systems| business administration| or other related discipline (or equivalent work experience).The candidate must have excellent client interfacing skills| vendor/third-party resources| strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management.
