MUST HAVE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

7+ years of Data Analyst / Business Data Analyst experience in enterprise environments
Strong consulting background (client-facing, requirements-driven delivery)
Advanced Snowflake experience: complex SQL, performance tuning, JSON/VARIANT handling, schema/stage knowledge
Proven experience with Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM/STM) and data transformation documentation
Hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
Strong experience with data lineage, metadata traceability, and impact analysis
Experience working with REST APIs (JSON/XML) and mapping API payloads to Snowflake
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation, profiling, and reconciliation
Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, business rules, and functional/technical documentation
Strong stakeholder communication and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, dbt)
Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
Knowledge of data warehousing & dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with API tools (Postman, Swagger)
Agile/Scrum experience

Key Responsibilities

Gather, validate, and document business/data requirements with stakeholders
Translate requirements into detailed mapping documents and transformation logic
Perform end-to-end data lineage analysis across Snowflake, APIs, and reporting layers
Support data modeling aligned to modern lake house architecture
Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks using Snowflake SQL
Work with engineering teams on ETL/ELT validation and UAT support
Interpret API documentation and define ingestion mappings
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across analytics platforms
Mentor junior analysts and support delivery best practices
