Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator with strong expertise in VMware and Cisco UCS to manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in virtualization, server hardware, and data center operations, along with strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage VMware environments including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
• Deploy and manage Cisco UCS C-Series and B-Series servers (e.g., C220 M6)
• Maintain and troubleshoot server, virtualization, and storage infrastructure
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of data center systems
• Configure networking (NICs, VLANs) and storage connectivity (FCoE, iSCSI, SAN)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (VMware, OS, Networking) for seamless operations
• Support incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and enhancements
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures
• Follow ITIL processes, including DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP (Business Continuity Planning)
Required Skills & Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• 5+ years of experience managing Cisco UCS hardware and environments
• Strong understanding of server hardware (CPU, memory, storage, adapters)
• Experience with Cisco IMC and/or UCS Manager
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with enterprise data center environments
• Exposure to automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python) is a plus
• Understanding of cloud or hybrid infrastructure is an advantage
