Job Title: Tier I NetworkEngineer
Department: Department of Information Technology (DIT)
Location: Raleigh, NC (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor statewide emergency communication networks and systems.
- Provide first-level technical support for network and telecom issues.
- Receive, troubleshoot, and track support tickets through resolution.
- Communicate with 911 centers, telecom carriers, vendors, and internal support teams.
- Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams when needed.
- Maintain incident documentation and operational logs.
- Support emergency response operations during outages, severe weather, and critical incidents.
Required Skills:
- 1–3 years of experience in Help Desk, NOC, Network Support, or Telecommunications Support.
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, firewalls, switches, antivirus, and backup technologies.
- Knowledge of kenneth mygreenbucks net and network cabling, topology, and classifications.
- Experience with at least one of the following technologies:
- Cisco
- Juniper
- VMware
- Microsoft Technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- VoIP experience.
- NOC environment experience.
- Telecommunications support experience.
- Public safety communications experience.
Important Notes:
- This is a fully onsite role.
- Candidates must be comfortable working the night shift.
- Flexibility to support piratebay proxy occasional schedule adjustments for coverage, emergencies, or training is required.
