Role: Senior Program Manager with risk management and change governance

Location: Mahawah, NJ or Kalamazoo Michigan (Hybrid 2-3 days/week)

Challenging projects and we need someone who’s led Project Managers and been in overall charge of delivery and risk mitigation and change controls. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and deliver complex initiatives in a global manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for simultaneously overseeing multiple projects, ensuring optimized risk mitigation, change governance, and providing effective escalation and resolution management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Program Manage Multiple Projects:
Lead and oversee the successful delivery of three concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with overall program goals, timelines, and budgets.
Risk and Change Governance:
Implement and manage an integrated risk and change control framework across projects. Ensure risks and issues are identified, assessed, and mitigated promptly while maintaining clear documentation and stakeholder communication.
Escalation and Resolution Management:
Proactively identify roadblocks and escalations, driving them through to resolution by engaging appropriate stakeholders and ensuring minimal impact on deliverables.
Leadership Communication:
Develop and deliver clear, concise, and impactful communications for senior leadership. Effectively manage up to ensure leadership is informed of key risks, decisions, and progress.
Stakeholder Management:
Build trusted relationships with cross-functional teams, project sponsors, and executives. Balance competing priorities while ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
Program Management Standards:
Apply best-in-class program management methodologies, tools, and templates to drive consistency and quality across projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience overall with the last 3+ exclusively Program Managing large complex engagements and a demonstratable track record of managing multiple concurrent projects within larger programs in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong background in risk management and change governance, with the ability to implement and oversee integrated governance structures.
  • Demonstrated success escalating issues effectively and driving timely resolutions.
  • Experience with SAP ERP implementation and/or integration is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to tailor messaging for executive audiences and to manage upward with confidence.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • [Preferred] Familiarity with labelling tools or processes is an advantage but not required and/or experience in a large consulting firm supporting multiple clients/engagements
