Our award-winning client, a leader in U.S. manufacturing, is looking for an Automation and Controls Engineer II to join their team in Phenix City, Alabama (ZIP: 36869). This is a full-time, on-site role supporting high-speed production lines and a multi-million dollar modernization initiative.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and optimize control systems across the plant

Drive automation upgrades and lead $1M+ automation projects

Support electrical infrastructure and plant-wide systems

Collaborate with IT, Safety, and Engineering teams

Standardize equipment and reduce obsolescence risk
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering / Technology
-
3+ years of controls experience in manufacturing
-
Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI, VFDs, Servos, Fanuc/ABB Robotics
-
NFPA 70E compliance, AutoCAD or Visio
-
Strong communication and project execution skills
Bonus Skills: Wonderware, SAP, Genetec, Lean/Six Sigma, ISO experience
