Job Title: Ab Initio Developer with AWS
Location: 100% Remote (Preference for EST / DC/Maryland/Virginia area)
Type: C2C – Contract
Rate: Up to $70/hr (all-inclusive)
Visa: H1B OK
Position Highlights:
- 100% remote contractor role (EST hours) – preference for DMV-based candidates.
- Monthly in-person team lunch (optional, at own cost) & biannual team events.
- Collaborative 16-member team (6 developers, growing).
- Occasional weekend work and rare on-call support rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a data product track in collaboration with data analysts.
- Handle day-to-day operations (including occasional 6 PM – 6 AM support rotation).
- Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and special projects.
- Assist in ETL processing to support data products.
- Participate in solution design discussions.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5–10+ years of hands-on experience as an Ab Initio Developer.
- AWS tech stack expertise.
- Ab Initio CDC (Change Data Capture).
- Hadoop experience.
- Strong design and development capabilities.
- Ability to hit the ground running & work well in a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Hive technology, ProSQL.
- Relevant certifications.
- Healthcare insurance industry background.
Interview Process:
- Round 1: MS Teams interview with Hiring Manager.
- Round 2: 1-hour technical panel interview (in-depth & hands-on).
