Role – Java/Kotlin Developer
Onsite in Phoenix, Arizona (Contract Position)
We are currently seeking a Java/Kotlin Developer for an exciting onsite contract role based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Key Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ features and Kotlin
Proficient with Oracle or any other RDBMS
Solid experience in API development
Familiar with reactive programming
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in backend reactive programming using Java 17+ and/or Kotlin
Proven ability to build lightweight reactive microservices using frameworks like Vert.x, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Spring Boot
Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders and product owners to refine epics and requirements
Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems: Kafka, webhooks, asynchronous APIs
Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases
Capable of working independently within a cross-functional agile team
Prior experience in FinTech is a strong plus
Background in supporting mission-critical platforms with high availability
Solid knowledge of cloud-based architectures and distributed systems
Strong communication skills and ability to express technical opinions constructively
Self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and committed to continuous learning
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
