Job Description:
The Enterprise Data Modeler will be responsible for developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise data management and integration across multiple systems. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and data architects to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions while ensuring alignment with governance and architecture standards.
Responsibilities include:
Create conceptual data models to identify key business entities and relationships.
Translate business needs into logical and physical data models and document data designs.
Present modeling results and communicate impacts to stakeholders and development teams.
Perform data profiling, analysis, and establish governance for data quality and metadata accuracy.
Develop canonical models, data-as-a-service models, and support SOA-based integrations.
Implement MDM solutions, business rules for reconciliation, and enforce naming standards.
Define strategies for data security, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance with regulations.
Optimize data systems for performance, consistency, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in enterprise-level data modeling.
Strong understanding of metadata management, data quality, and governance frameworks.
Experience with SQL, Python, R, or Scala.
Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, and modern cloud-based data platforms.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
