Job Description:
- Seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Programmer Analyst 4 for the City of Richmond DIT Utilities team.
- Will be responsible for providing web-based solutions and support to existing applications.
- The candidate will also possess skills in requirements gathering, application design, software development, documentation, and customer service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Application integration as a core function of systems development to include experience and knowledge of designing, developing, and supporting applications using the following technologies:
- Oracle database (11g and above)
- PL-SQL
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Documenting work to be performed. (i.e. – requirements gathering, design/analysis, technical specifications, code, implementation, and support).
- Developing and executing database queries to generate reports and aid in data analysis.
- Learning different technologies, both currently in use and new.
- Working directly with programming staff and users to analyze and develop innovative applications for improving business operations within various City of Richmond departments.
- This may also involve learning different technologies – both currently in use and new.
