The Virginia Department of Elections is seeking an experienced Cloud Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise web and Windows applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong Microsoft .NET and Cloud Development background with hands-on experience designing cloud-based solutions—not a Java developer with limited .NET exposure.
The selected consultant will collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, and the Application Development team while working on new development, enhancements, and maintenance projects.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Microsoft .NET Development
- Extensive experience with Cloud Services and cloud application development
- Experience designing and implementing applications using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience integrating with major Cloud Service Providers (Azure preferred)
- Web and Windows application development experience
- Strong application design, analysis, and coding skills
- Experience working with SaaS and Cloud-based solutions
- Ability to work independently and lead complex development efforts
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise-level application development
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working in government or public sector environments
- Advanced education is a plus
