Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite)

Role Overview

We are looking for a rare “hybrid” talent—a UI/UX Engineer who possesses the aesthetic eye of a designer and the technical rigor of a front-end developer. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and engineering, translating high-fidelity wireframes into functional, performant code while ensuring the user experience remains seamless and accessible.

Technical Stack & Requirements

Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience in a UI/UX Engineering or Design Technologist role.
Engineering: High proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
Design Tools: Expert-level mastery of Figma (and familiarity with Sketch) for wireframing and prototyping.
Back-End/Tooling: Experience with Node.js, npm, and implementing GenAI features or workflows.
Location Requirement: Must be a local Austin candidate capable of working from the office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Implementation: Develop high-quality, scalable code (HTML/CSS/JS/TS) to build user-facing features and functional web components.
Advanced Prototyping: Create sophisticated, interactive prototypes using live data to test technical feasibility and interaction design before full-scale production.
Design-to-Code Translation: Act as the primary technical consultant for the design team, ensuring that visual assets are implemented with 1:1 fidelity.
Performance Optimization: Optimize components for maximum speed and cross-device responsiveness.
Usability & Accessibility: Implement user-centered design principles and ensure all interfaces meet modern accessibility standards.
