Role Overview

We are seeking a Sr. QA Engineer to drive end-to-end Quality Engineering for E-commerce and Digital platforms. This role will lead QA strategy, execution, and governance across web, mobile, and backend services, operating in a distributed onsite–offshore model. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to align QE outcomes with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead QE efforts across E-commerce (web/mobile) and digital platforms, ensuring high-quality releases

Own test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting across multiple PODs/scrum teams

Drive onsite–offshore coordination, ensuring seamless communication, prioritization, and delivery

Establish and enforce automation-first approach (UI, API, and regression suites)

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams forrequirement clarity and test coverage

Define and track QE metrics (defect leakage, automation coverage, cycle time, release quality)

Ensure CI/CD integration of test suites and quality gates

Lead defect triage, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives

Support UAT, production validation, and release sign-offs

Mentor and guide QA team members across onsite and offshore locations

 

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years in Quality Engineering with2+ years in Test Lead role

Strong experience in E-commerce/Digital platforms (high traffic, customer-facing systems)

Hands-on experience in test automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)

Strong understanding of API testing(Postman, RestAssured, etc.)

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Proven experience managing onsite–offshore delivery models

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

Strong knowledge of test management tools (TestRail, Jira, etc.)

Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills

 

Good to Have

Experience in retail domain (beauty/fashion/e-commerce)

Exposure to performance testing and observability tools

Understanding of AI-driven QE or test optimization approaches

Experience with service virtualization and contract testing
