We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Snowflake / dbt Data Engineer with deep expertise in AWS cloud technologies, Python, Snowflake, and dbt to design, build, and optimize modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong experience in developing scalable data pipelines, implementing data transformation frameworks using dbt, and delivering enterprise-grade analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and dbt.
Build robust ELT/ETL workflows for ingesting and transforming structured and semi-structured data.
Develop and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, warehouses, tasks, streams, and stored procedures.
Create modular, reusable, and production-ready data models using dbt.
Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems and cloud platforms into Snowflake.
Leverage AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, EventBridge, and related technologies.
Develop automation scripts and data processing frameworks using advanced Python.
Optimize query performance, storage, and compute costs within Snowflake.
Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance best practices.
Collaborate with Data Architects, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide long-term scalable solutions.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
Extensive hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
Advanced Python programming skills (“Python Ninja” level expertise).
Strong experience with AWS Cloud services.
Experience building enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Strong understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience working with REST APIs and file-based data ingestion.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.
Exposure to Spark or PySpark.
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
AWS Certifications are a plus.
Snowflake Certification is highly preferred.
