Job Title: Solution Architect with Microsoft Fabric Migration Location: Remote   Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead enterprise data modernization and migration initiatives from Informatica to Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the existing Informatica environment, defining the migration strategy, designing the target-state Microsoft Fabric architecture, and driving the overall engagement from discovery through execution. This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, Microsoft Fabric, cloud migration, stakeholder management, and technical consulting. Key Responsibilities Lead customer engagements for Informatica to Microsoft Fabric migration projects. Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing Informatica environments, including ETL workflows, data pipelines, integrations, and dependencies. Define the overall migration strategy, approach, and best practices for transitioning to Microsoft Fabric. Design and document the target-state Microsoft Fabric architecture, including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI components. Develop migration roadmaps, implementation plans, timelines, and phased execution strategies. Prepare Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return on Investment (ROI), and business case analyses to support modernization initiatives. Lead customer workshops, architecture review sessions, and technical discussions with business and technical stakeholders. Collaborate with project managers, data engineers, solution consultants, and customer teams throughout the engagement lifecycle. Define data migration patterns, integration strategies, security architecture, governance, and performance optimization approaches. Identify technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery. Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership during implementation and migration activities. Develop solution documentation, architecture diagrams, design specifications, and executive presentations. Stay current with Microsoft Fabric capabilities and recommend best practices for enterprise data platform modernization. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise solution architecture. Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), or similar ETL platforms. Hands-on experience designing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Fabric. Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric components, including OneLake, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI. Experience defining enterprise migration strategies and modernization roadmaps. Proven ability to conduct architecture assessments and solution discovery workshops. Experience preparing TCO, ROI, and executive-level business cases. Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures. Experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or equivalent Microsoft Azure certifications. Experience migrating enterprise data platforms to Microsoft Fabric. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud analytics platforms. Familiarity with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Consulting or customer-facing solution architecture experience.
